Always Eat After 7 PM Pt. 3
This post is sponsored by Joel Marion. All opinions are our own.
Mama, are you listening to me right now? Do I have your attention?
For the last two weeks I’ve been talking to you about Joel Marion and his new book, “Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight.” Read the last two posts here and here.
Well, I wanted to drop weight and cope with my kiddos being home. You see, I also run a copywriting business outside of this blog and now homeschool two kiddos.
We wanted to homeschool but not for a few months so I thought I had more time to prepare. God had other plans.
With the kids suddenly home, I needed to change my energy level. Having an autoimmune disorder makes it incredibly difficult to maintain high energy levels but necessary when you have two boys and two labs.
In order to maintain my business and take care of the kids and pups, I needed more energy in my life. I committed to getting up at 4-4:30 every single day to accomplish my work before the kids get up.
Y’all it’s so easy now to get up. There’s no snooze button hitting. I can go all day without needing a nap AND my coffee consumption is down.
I would consider that a giant win!
I love that Marion gives you a whole cheat day. Weekends my family loves things like pizza, fresh bread, etc. so it’s nice to not feel limited. We’ve been traditionally taught to avoid carbs, have an early dinner, and never eat before bed. But the fact is, the latest scientific research shows us this earlier model is not the most ideal
The fact that this plan has little limitations makes it so sustainable. I don’t feel the need to check in every 6 seconds to ensure what I’m doing is okay.
Marion says, “Fact is, most diets are extremely narrow with regard to food choices and variety, and many even limit entire macronutrients altogether over the course of the entire program (think low-carb and low-fat diets). Three months with no carbs? No thanks. Such practices not only are entirely unnecessary, but make for a miserable, unsustainable experience.”
I needed something sustainable and if being able to get up at 4 AM without hitting the snooze is any indicator, this seems pretty life changing to me.
I also loved that Marion included recipes I can use for the whole family.
We’re big fans of Marion’s Cheesy Ground Beef Skillet. Takes less than an hour to make and I have dinner on the table that everyone loves. Plus, I use only one pan from the kitchen so less dishes.
It’s healthy, everyone loves it and it’s an easy clean up.
I couldn’t recommend it more.
Can you say hello to an easy ice cream recipe?
I told you, you want this plan. You can enjoy your life, get your energy levels up and get a body you love.
The Always Eat After 7 PM plan consists of: The 14-day Acceleration Phase to kick-start the program and see rapid results, The Main Phase where you’ll learn exactly which foods to eat when in order to achieve your weight-loss goals, The Lifestyle Phase to keep the weight off for good.
Stay tuned next week to see what I think about the lifestyle phase!
