4 Easy Ways to Give Your Children a Christian Worldview Before School

As a mom, one of your most important responsibilities is raising your children with a Christian worldview. A Christian worldview is a way of looking at the world that is based on the teachings of Jesus Christ. It includes beliefs about who God is, what He has done, and what He expects us to do. As our kids go back to school, it’s important to make sure that they have a Christian worldview so that they can understand what they’re learning in the context of their faith.

Instilling a Godly worldview in your children will help them to see the world through God’s eyes. It will equip them to navigate the challenges and temptations of this world with wisdom and strength. And it will give them hope for the future. Here are four ways you can help your children develop a Christian worldview.

1. Teach them about who God is.

One of the most important things you can do to help your children develop a Christian worldview is to teach them about who God is. The better they understand His character, His love for them, and His plan for their lives, the more likely they are to live according to His ways. One thing I have loved is these Attributes of God Cards from the Daily Grace Co. Whenever we are on a long drive or even just going to football practice we grab a card. We then spend a few minutes talking about what that attribute means and how it applies to our lives. This has been such a great way to start conversations with my kids about who God is and how He relates to us.

2. Help them to understand how God has been at work throughout history.

Another way you can help your children develop a Godly worldview is by helping them to understand how God has been at work throughout history. As they learn about different people and events in history, point out how God was at work in those situations. Help them to see that even though the world is full of darkness and evil, God is still in control and always has been.

3…And continues to work in their own lives today.

In addition to helping your children understand how God has worked in history, also help them to see how He is working in their own lives today. Point out times when they have seen Him at work in their own lives or in the lives of those around them. Help them to understand that even though they may not be able to see Him, He is always there with them, leading and guiding them. The boys call these God Nods. We talk about how sometimes we will see or hear something and it will be like a little nod from God, reminding us that He is with us and knows what we are going through.

4…And will work in the future as well.

Finally, help your children to understand that just as God has been at work in the past and present, He will also be at work in the future. Help them to have hope for the future by teaching them about all that God has planned for those who love Him. As they look ahead to the future, remind them that no matter what happens, God will never leave them or forsake them (Deuteronomy 31:6).

As a mom, it’s important that you raise your children with a Godly worldview. A Godly worldview is a way of looking at the world that is based on the teachings of Jesus Christ. It includes beliefs about who God is, what He has done, and what He expects us to do.

Instilling a Christian worldview in your children will help them to see the world through God’s eyes and equip them to navigate the challenges and temptations of this world with wisdom and strength. The Bible says that if we raise our children in His path, they will not stray (Proverbs 22:6). So let’s be intentional in our efforts to raise our children with a Godly worldview!
