As a former CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) and “Mormon” I love Russell Brunson as we share the same faith and he’s kind of killer when it comes to entrepreneurship.

I was really fortunate this last month to receive a copy of his book, Traffic Secrets: The Underground Playbook for Filling Your Websites and Funnels with Your Dream Customers and dive in deep.

Who is Russell Brunson?

Besides sharing a faith system, Brunson also owns ClickFunnels

Russell Brunson is a Best-Selling Author & CEO of $100M software company ClickFunnels.

In 2014, Brunson and his partner launched ClickFunnels and it quickly became the number one software provider for funnel building without any help. That’s God right there.

NBD right?

He also runs a podcast called The Book of Mormon Challenge and I 10/10 recommend it if you’re ever curious about the Book of Mormon or you’re a Latter-day Saint looking for a challenge.

What I took away

Even though I was the CMO, there’s always so much to learn. The market is always changing and it’s something I can struggle to keep up with now that I run my own business. I wear 902 hats as a wife, mother, homemaker and business owner. So having someone give me some new inventive ideas to reach my ideal clients was key.

My mission is faith focused with an eternal perspective so it truly is imperative that I focus on serving the Christian mama’s. I think when we change the perspectives of women, the world can change.

In his new book Traffic Secrets: The Underground Playbook for Filling Your Websites and Funnels with Your Dream Customers, Brunson mixes old and new techniques to drive traffic to your business.

For me, that’s Christian moms who want to show in service to their home. They want out of their 9-5 and want to invest their time in their children and spouse. I promise you, when I dropped out of corporate America, I never imagined the impact I could make inside the four walls of my home.

That impact has since extended globally as I’ve worked with and mentored women across the globe.

But I cannot make an impact if no one knows I exist and Brunson gave some amazing insight on how to reach those people.

marketing books are outdated

This is one reason I usually never pick up a marketing book. I say to my friends who run a business that marketing books are typically outdated because the technology changes so rapidly it’s hard to keep up.

What I liked most about Brunson’s book is that it really is evergreen. The mix of old and new techniques means you can use this book for the long-haul. A rare find in marketing.

I definitely recommend snagging this book (https://bit.ly/2VffWT6) and letting it change how you blog or run your business.

Traffic Secrets: The Underground Playbook for Filling Your Websites and Funnels with Your Dream Customers is definitely a book I’ll be revisiting in the future.
