how to Have a Productive Morning Routine as a Christian Work-at-Home Mom to set your day for sucess

As a Christian work-at-home mom, it’s easy to feel like you’re not doing enough. You’re pulled in a million different directions, and it seems like there’s always something more you could be doing. But the truth is, you are enough. And you can do this.

One of the best ways to set yourself up for success is to have a morning routine that sets the tone for the rest of your day. A productive morning routine will help you focus on what’s important, and it will give you the energy and motivation you need to get through your day.

Here are some tips for creating a productive morning routine as a Christian work-at-home mom:

Morning Routine TIp 1: Wake up early

This one may seem obvious, but it’s so important. Waking up early gives you time to start your day off right with some quiet time and prayer. It also allows you to get ahead of your kids and get things done before they wake up. My hubby gets up for work sometimes at 4 AM and with a puppy in the house it’s pretty hard to go back to sleep so I usually end up starting my day with him.

I also start my day with mushroom coffee. It gives me way more energy than coffee ever did and I don’t feel sluggish the rest of the day.

Morning Routine TIp 2: Make your bed

This is a simple task that can make a big difference in how you feel throughout the day. A made bed is a sign of order and discipline, two things that are essential for a productive day. I won’t lie this is always my biggest struggle. My husband is great about making our bed but it’s something I am trying to implement.

Morning Routine TIp 3: Get in the Word

There’s no better way to start your day as a Christian than by spending time in God’s Word. I personally am going through two books right now. I’m reading What Happens When Women Say Yes to God by Lysa TerKeurst and then Becoming the Woman God Wants Me to Be: A 90-Day Guide to Living the Proverbs 31 Life by Donna Partow. These two studies have been so fun and so insightful to help me become more of the woman God wants me to be.

Starting my day in the Word also really sets the tone for the day. I feel so much more focused and energized when I’m reminded of the truth found in Scripture.

Morning Routine TIp 4: Dress for success

It may sound silly, but getting dressed for the day can make a big difference in how you feel about yourself and your ability to get things done. When you look good, you feel good—and that confidence will show in your work. Ditch those leggings and oversized t-shirts and at the very least throw a pair of jeans on. I always put shoes on too. I just feel more empowered when I do.

Morning Routine TIp 5: Move your body

Whether it’s a full-on workout or just some simple stretches, taking time to move your body will help energize you and clear your mind. Even if you only have 10 minutes, this can make all the difference in setting yourself up for success.

Creating a productive morning routine as a Christian work-at-home mom can be challenging, but it is possible. By taking the time to wake up early, make your bed, get in the Word, dress for success, and move your body each day you will set yourself up for success. Each of these steps are simple yet powerful ways to start your day off on the right foot so that you can tackle whatever challenges come with being a busy working mom.

Take action today by implementing one or more of these tips into your daily life and watch how much easier it becomes to stay focused on what matters most! At the end of the day the ideal morning routine is whatever works for you. My morning routine may not be your perfect morning routine. The most important thing is that you find a morning routine that suits you and your family dynamic best.
